MN Small Cities Regions: Overview






As an added benefit of membership, MAOSC Member Cities also enjoy automatic inclusion in

one of 12 geographical "sub-groups" (pre-assigned Regions) throughout the state.


Each Region is led by a Regional Representative - specifically, the board member who presently

holds that Region's seat on the Board of Directors. Along with MAOSC's Executive Director, your

Regional Director is available to members, to address any questions, concerns or challenges you

may have in your city.

Region 1 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Clearwater, Kittson, Marshall, Mahnomen, Norman, Pennington, Roseau, Polk, Red Lake
Region 2
Region 2 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Beltrami, Cook, Itasca, Lake, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, St. Louis
Region 3
Region 3 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Ottertail, Traverse, Wilkin
Region 4
Region 4 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Cass, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Morrison, Todd, Wadena
Region 5
Region 5 represents member cities in the counties of:
Aitkin, Carlton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Pine
Region 6
Region 6 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Big Stone, Chippewa, Pope, Kandiyohi, La Qui Parle, Renville, Stevens, Swift, Yellow Medicine
Region 7
Region 7 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Benton, McLeod, Meeker, Sherburne, Stearns, Wright

Region 8 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington
Region 9
Region 9 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Cottonwood, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Redwood, Rock, Pipestone
Region 10
Region 10 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Blue Earth, Brown, Watonwan, Jackson, Martin, Faribault, Nicollet, Sibley 
Region 11
Region 11 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Freeborn, LeSueur, Mower, Rice, Steele, Waseca
Region 12
Region 12 represents member cities in the counties of: 
Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Goodhue, Olmsted, Wabasha, Winona
